Terms of use

These terms of use govern access to and use of the game The Neron (theneron.com). By logging in, you accept them.

1. Purpose

The Neron is a free online fighting game: each player recruits a champion, levels them up and fights other champions. When no player of the same level is available, the game generates a computer-controlled opponent.

2. Beta version

The game is currently in beta. You acknowledge and accept that:

• the service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of availability, continuity or absence of bugs;
• rules, balance and features may change at any time, without notice;
• all game data (champions, levels, fights) will be wiped at the official release, and may also be reset during the beta if needed;
• no progress made during the beta entitles you to compensation.

3. Access to the service

Access requires a valid Discord account. You are responsible for the security of your Discord account. Only one champion is allowed per account; creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage (for example to farm rewards) is forbidden.

4. Code of conduct

You must not:

• use an insulting, hateful, discriminatory or unlawful username or avatar;
• exploit a bug, automate actions (bots, scripts) or bypass the game's limits;
• try to access the systems, disrupt the service or attack the infrastructure.

5. Suspension

If these terms are breached, the publisher may reset a champion, or suspend or remove access, without notice. You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your data to be deleted (see the privacy policy).

6. Intellectual property

The game and its content are protected. Sprites from the Liberated Pixel Cup remain under their original licenses (see the credits). Any reproduction or reuse of the rest of the game without permission is forbidden.

7. Liability

The publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep the service running but cannot be held liable for an interruption, a loss of game data or any indirect damage related to the use of the game, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes to the terms

These terms may change, especially at the official release. The version in force is the one published on this page; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction.
